April 2018: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Blendtec, Inc. for allegedly falsely advertising the horsepower of its blenders. Specifically, the complaint claims that the company misrepresents that the horsepower of its blenders is between 3.0 and 3.8 when, according to the plaintiffs, testing shows that the actual horsepower of the blenders is 25% less than the one represented.
