July 2020: The case was voluntarily dismissed with prejudice as to the named plaintiff and without prejudice as to the class, the reason for which have not been disclosed.

June 2020: This case was transferred from state court to federal court. (Case No. 20-cv-5381, C.D. Cal.)

May 2020: A class-action lawsuit was filed against AT&T Corp. for allegedly falsely advertising that the price of DirecTV internet, television, and telephone services will be locked in for a period of two years when, according to plaintiffs, the price significantly increases after 12 months. Plaintiffs also claim that AT&T advertises that there are no installation charges, activation fees, and other miscellaneous fees when such claims are false. (Gomez et al v. When a complaint is dismissed without prejudice, an amended version of the complaint can be refiled.
