Town Bank

In July 2019, a class-action lawsuit was filed against Town Bank for allegedly misleadingly representing that it charges only one insufficient funds fee on a single transaction when, according to the plaintiffs, the bank reprocesses rejected transactions and charges another fee each time they are rejected for insufficient funds resulting in multiple insufficient funds fees being charged on a single transaction. (Pope et al v. Wintrust Financial Corp. d/b/a Town Bank, Case No. 19-cv-554, W. D. WI.)
