TracFone Wireless Unlimited Data Plans

November 21st, 2013

In November 2013, two class-action lawsuits were filed against TracFone Wireless, Inc. for allegedly falsely advertising its “unlimited” data service plans. Both complaints allege that the company falsely advertises cell phone plans – specifically the Net10 cellular phone plan and Simple Mobile wireless plans — as providing “unlimited” data service, when, in reality, the company terminates or reduces the speed of subscribers access to the “unlimited” data services after they use a certain amount of data.
