August 2014: This action was dismissed When a complaint is dismissed with prejudice, it cannot be refiled. as to the named plaintiff and When a complaint is dismissed without prejudice, an amended version of the complaint can be refiled. as to the class members after the case was settled. The settlement terms have not been disclosed.

May 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Urban Decay Cosmetics and L’Oreal alleging that, among other things, the companies falsely advertise the Urban Decay Lush Lash System, Double Extend® Lash Boosting Mascara, and Double Extend® Lash Boosting Serum will make eyelashes grow without scientific evidence to support such claims. (Peña et al v. Urban Decay Cosmetics, LLC and L’Oreal USA, Inc., Case No. 14-cv-03353, S. D. NY.).
