USANA Summary of Action

An ongoing investigation into USANA Health Sciences’ marketing revealed that the Utah-based multilevel marketing company and its distributors use — and have used for years — unsubstantiated disease-treatment claims to market USANA products and atypical income claims to advertise the company’s business opportunity. also found that numerous USANA-sponsored athletes advertise company products on their social media accounts without clearly and conspicuously disclosing their material connection to the company in violation of FTC law. As a result, and in light of the FTC’s recent notice to the company regarding penalty offenses, sent USANA a letter on November 3, 2021 notifying it of the ongoing problem.
