November 24, 2014: The State Records Committee issues its official Decision and Order denying TINA.org’s request.

November 13, 2014: A hearing is held before the State Records Committee, at the end of which the Committee voted to uphold the Department of Commerce’s decision to deny TINA.org’s request for copies of consumer complaints regarding WakeUpNow, with consumers’ personal identifying information redacted.

November 7, 2014: The Division of Consumer Protection files a response to TINA.org’s appeal to the Records Committee.

September 23, 2014: TINA.org appeals the Department of Commerce’s decision to the State Records Committee.

September 10, 2014: The Utah Department of Commerce upholds the Division’s denial of TINA.org’s request.

August 27, 2014: TINA.org appeals the division’s decision to deny its request for copies of consumer complaints regarding WakeUpNow, explaining that, to the extent complaints contain personal identifying information of consumers, that information can be redacted instead of wholly barring the disclosure of the documents.

August 22, 2014: Utah Division of Consumer Protection denies TINA.org’s request, stating that the requested records are classified as protected and private.

August 18, 2014: TINA.org sends a letter to the Utah Division of Consumer Protection requesting copies of public records regarding any investigations and consumer complaints relating to Utah-company, WakeUpNow.
