Walmart’s “Made in USA” Labels

July 2016: Plaintiffs voluntarily dismissed this action with prejudice. The reasons for the dismissal have not been disclosed.

July 2015: A false advertising class-action lawsuit was filed against Walmart for allegedly using false “Made in USA” labels on its website. According to the plaintiffs, Walmart’s website advertises certain products as being “Made in the USA,” “Assembled in the USA,” and having parts from the USA when such claims are actually not true. (Johnson et al v. Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. and Walmart.com, USA, LLC., Case No. 15-cv-775, S. D. IL.)
