Lawsuit alleges environmental claims don’t stick.
In June 2013, a federal judge approved a settlement between General Mills and consumers who filed a class-action lawsuit against it for allegedly falsely advertising that its YoPlus yogurt products provide digestive health benefits that regular yogurt does not. According to the settlement terms, the $8.5 million Settlement Fund will provide class members with a $4 refund for each unit of YoPlus they purchased (for a maximum of 13 units without proof of purchase).
