Zicam Pre-Cold Remedies

May 2019: The appeal was dismissed for failure to prosecute because the objector did not pay the filing fees.

December 2018: An objector filed a Notice of Appeal regarding the final approval of the settlement.

November 2018: A federal judge granted final approval of a settlement agreement in which class members may receive a cash award for each product purchased. According to its terms, class members without proof of purchase can only be reimbursed for up to five products while class members with proof of purchase can be reimbursed for all their purchases. 2014: A class-action lawsuit was filed against Zicam for allegedly falsely advertising that its pre-cold over-the-counter homeopathic remedies (including RapidMelts, Oral Mist, Lozenges, and Soft Chews) will reduce the severity of cold symptoms – including sneezing, coughing, and nasal congestion – and shorten the duration of colds when, according to the complaint, the products do not reduce the severity of cold symptoms and do not shorten the duration of colds.
